I was invited once again to collaborate with Immersive LTD on a premium brand activation for IWC’s new watch collection. The event centered around an intimate dining experience, surrounded by subtle, elegant 360° motion design — what we called “moving wallpapers.”
The goal was to create an ambient, immersive environment that gently reinforced the brand’s presence without overwhelming the space. Everything had to feel refined, seamless, and fully aligned with IWC’s visual identity.
I was responsible for the full design and art direction of the projection content — crafting the animated visuals, still frames, and projection templates across a sprawling 1080x18200px canvas.
Originally, I planned to render with C4D’s native or physical engine, but the need for faster iteration led me to switch to Octane. This was a calculated risk, given the lack of access to GPU render farms — we decided to handle all rendering in-house.
I ran extensive tests to fine-tune resolution, render time, upscaling, and denoising workflows. The final sequences rendered continuously for two weeks, remotely managed and backed up across both local drives and Google Drive.
The result: a calm, cinematic visual layer that elevated the atmosphere without taking centre stage — a perfect balance of brand storytelling and immersive design.
